### Indian-Origin Executives Featured in TIME’s Inaugural Tech and Data Leaders List

Several technology executives of Indian origin have been recognized in TIME’s inaugural Executives of the Year: Tech and Data list, which highlights 50 business leaders working across technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital innovation.

The inaugural list features senior executives from companies including Anthropic, OpenAI, S&P Global, Lowe’s, Walmart, Bank of America, Delta Air Lines, Databricks, L’Oréal Groupe, CVS Health, Reddit and DocuSign.

Among those named in the Leaders category is Rahul Patil, chief technology officer at Anthropic. Patil joined the company in October 2025 and oversees technology supporting its Claude artificial intelligence platform.

TIME highlighted Patil’s work around the reliability of AI systems and the potential misuse of increasingly capable technologies. Before joining Anthropic, he spent approximately five years at Stripe.

Firdaus Bhathena, executive vice president and chief technology and transformation officer at S&P Global, is also included among the leaders. Bhathena took on the newly created position in March and is responsible for bringing technology, data and artificial intelligence together across the financial information company.

His previous experience includes serving as a senior technology executive at CVS Health. He also founded enterprise software companies WebLine and Relicore.

OpenAI executive Vijaye Raji, the company’s chief technology officer of Applications, is another Indian-origin leader featured on the list. Raji oversees technical teams working across data, experimentation and growth for products including ChatGPT and Codex.

The Leaders category also includes Seemantini Godbole of Lowe’s, Suresh Kumar of Walmart, Hari Gopalkrishnan of Bank of America and Amala Duggirala of Delta Air Lines.

Their responsibilities span a wide range of technology initiatives, including AI assistants, connected retail systems, banking infrastructure and digital tools designed to improve the travel experience.

TIME’s Innovators category includes several other executives with Indian roots. Keyur Govande of Depop has worked on AI-assisted tools for the online marketplace, while Naveen Zutshi of Databricks focuses on technology that expands access to corporate data.

Charu Jain of Alaska Airlines, Asmita Dubey of L’Oréal Groupe and Ekta Chopra of e.l.f. Beauty are also recognized in the Innovators group for their work involving technology integration, generative AI content and agentic AI applications.

The Catalysts category includes executives working to apply technology across established industries and business functions. Tilak Mandadi of CVS Health has focused on connecting health data across insurance, pharmacy and care delivery.

Amit Puntambekar, chief technology officer at Reddit, has worked on technology supporting personalization, discovery, search and content moderation across the social platform.

Sagnik Nandy, chief technology officer at DocuSign, is recognized for his role in expanding the company's AI-powered Intelligent Agreement Management platform, which is designed to apply artificial intelligence to agreement-related workflows.

The collection reflects the increasingly broad role of technology executives within major companies. Their responsibilities now extend beyond traditional IT operations to areas such as AI development, cybersecurity, data management, customer experience and business transformation.
